Holiday Wishes

Hey Everyone! Happy Monday!!


Today was back to the daily grind after being off for so many days in preparation of my tradeshow that happened this past Saturday. I had all these expectations of taking photos, but it just never happened :( I'm so sorry! But its a good thing because it means I was just so dang busy!! ;)


The tradeshow itself was a great day..I'm not even sure how many people came walking through our doors but I was definitely impressed and very happy with how it went for me. Lots of sales and even sold out of a few packaged items already in the morning!! It was a great feeling and I'm so excited now for next year already!!


I have another Christmas card to show you today...something tells me this is all I'll be posting about for the next 39 days (and yes, there is only 39 days left til Christmas!!!) This sweet laundry line is from Taylored Expressions' Wings of Joy stamp set as well as Cosmo Crickets new Holly Jolly line...


I used PTI's Pure Poppy for my card base and then covered it with Cosmo Cricket (this line is seriously the cutest!) I then stamped my image and tried matching the colors as closely as possible to the items on the DP using my Copics..






The sentiment is from PTI's Tree Timming Trio stamp set, using Pure Poppy ink...





I added a few hints of shimmer using red Stickles on the hats and birds' wings..because you know its not a finished card until it sparkles!! haha

Masculine Birthday

Happy Monday Everyone!!

I had a great start to my week today and something tells me it has a lot to do with it being a short week ;) Wednesday is Canada Day for us and we're hoping to celebrate in a nice relaxing way!! Of course, having the holiday mid-week to break up the work week always helps too :)

My card today is a masculine birthday card which is something I always struggle with when asked to make them. Everything always seems so feminine when put together and I love bright/fun colours and ribbons which rarely ever translates into "man". But with Taylored Expressions' Boys will be Boys stamp set, I never have to fret again!!

How awesome is this? This is totally a card for my dad..a workbelt for all his tools and of course the remote control for his tv..we all know how much a man loved his tv!!

The images in these sets are impeccable! So clear and defined and super easy to stamp and colour in with my Prismas/Copics!!

I'm going to make a few of these to keep on hand..something tells me they'll come in handy!! Have a great night everyone!!

Happy Mom's Day!!

I'm checking in to wish all you mom's out there an early Happy Mother's Day! What are your plans? Any special events going on in honor of that special woman in our lives? We're planning a nice BBQ supper of stuffed hamburgers which is one of my mom's favorite meals and hopefully we can give her a nice relaxing day to worry about nothing! I searched and searched for a great gift this year and although I didn't end up with what I originally wanted, I did come up with this beauty for her garden..




What do you think? She LOVED it! She's always talking about yellow roses and when I saw this plant at the greenhouse, it stopped me in my tracks and I knew that she had to have it!

She also got her card early this year which I was really happy with. I had just gotten this set in from Taylored Expressions and couldn't wait to ink it up! Isn't the finished result sweet? To finish it off I used Diamond Stickles around the florals and added some dimension to the top flower for added interest.
